Agenda Item #5: Preemptive Legal Challenges Judged by Common Citizen Juries on All Legislation and Executive Orders That Affect Public Policy

In the above video we discuss preemptive legal challenges. This involves empaneling a jury of citizens to review every piece of legislation that is passed. They will examine if the legislation is consistent with the charter document of the country or state. Any unconstitutional legislation or illegal line items will be rejected before it becomes law. This prevents (1) barriers of standing to prevent illegal laws from being invalided, (2) people needing to risk imprisonment violating an illegal law to challenge it in court, (3) illegal laws being on the books for years before a legal challenge is resolved, (4) and corrupt judges rubber stamping illegal legislation to appease the political allies that appointed them. Additionally citizen's can also reject laws that are written in such a way they do not understand them. This will make sure the legal code can be understood by the vast majority of people.
