In the above video we discuss proportional representation. It discusses how proportional representation further improves upon ordered choice voting for legislative positions by allowing multiple representatives for each district, each receiving voting power proportional to their share of the vote. We discuss different ways of imposing a minimum vote threshold so too many people with few constituents crowd the halls of Congress. We also discuss what gerrymandering is and how this voting methodology prevents gerrymandering from being an effective methodology of electoral manipulation. There is also a detailed discussion on how to properly handle candidates that do not make the minimum vote cutoff and why the preference of candidates can look a lot different than what you get from ordered choice voting.
