In the above video we discuss automatic sunset clauses.  Automatic sunset clauses will force legislators to repass legislation if they want it to still be in effect.  Thus, they will be forced to review the laws that have been passed and only keep the ones that are popular and have been beneficial to society.  They also can review the laws and update them for the times and in the light of real world experience so we do not have stale code that does not serve the people.  The automatic expiration of laws after a certain period of time will give people a chance to vote on all laws they are required to obey.  They should not have to be subject to laws that were passed well before they were born when they had no say in the affairs of government.  Ultimately, this also makes sure that every law on the books becomes subject to the citizen's line item veto.
